Just came up with a way to work on playing on off beats

See i have problems with playing like 1(snare hathat chick) &(Snare Bass) so basically playing off beats like that continuous,

so i set my met on 8th notes at either 90 - 100BPM
then i do down beat hat hat chicks 1,2,3,4 for play that for 2 bars
then i play 8th notes on the snare very light for two bars
then i play my bass drum on all the &'s

thats my little practice thing, i can keep it for a little while before i go off time but im working on getitng more comfortable with it?

If you can't keep it consistent at that speed through a whole song then should practice at a lower speed, nail it and then move up. You will find that if you master it a slower speed going faster will come easier.
