In October of last year, I did a concert with a great KC-based singer named Ron Gutierrez. It was called "Hymns in the Key of Jazz" and featured some jazz/R&B-type arrangements of some Catholic Hymns. The concert was recorded and recently released as a live album.

As some of you know, I'm about as religious as the average house cat, but it was a really fun gig. I liked the arrangements, the band was killin', and Ron sang his ass right off. In other words, I'm definitely not the only reason you should check it out.
