what kit is this? is it hard to get such a sound? what wood, what size, what heads, what tuning?

Muffled and clear double ply batters, clear single ply resonants. Tune the resonants to their lowest clear pitch, and tune the batters a minor third -- a perfect fourth below.

Unless you asked Sean Reinert (drummer prodigy previously from Death ) and the sound engineer that helped create and develop the sound, you probably wont ever truly know. Could be a lot of junk sugaring the sound.
Live it looks like coated double-ply's with single clear reso's.
I'm sure he's got a website.

from the youtube clip, freeze frame at 0:19. His hardware from the suspended floor tom on his left suggests that its a Sonor sq2. I'd guess probably scandanavian birch with a golden madrone finish. Don't want to burst your bubble, but if you want that kit, it's going to set you back at least 7 or 8 large for a basic setup.
