Now that I finally have the money to buy a nice new kit, I want to part ways with my first one, partly to get a little cash and partly to give some new drummer a chance to play on an inexpensive set.

This is my set:

So basically I'm selling the two rack toms, the floor tom, and the bass drum. I think I'll keep the aquarian super-2 heads on the toms since they make them sound fairly decent, but I'll put the stock heads back on the bass drum.

Otherwise I'm keeping the rest of the equipment listed. From browsing around ebay and craigslist and such, I've seen ranges from 80-500 dollars for percussion plus kits like mine. I'm thinking somewhere around 200-300. Do you guys think that's a fair deal?

you should sell it for free, to me.

but in all honesty that sounds pretty fair. i'm not familiar with that brand but anything that isn't first act is a good deal for that price haha.

From what I have seen on my Craigslist, 200 - 250 is about right, but you can start higher and look like a nice guy selling for lower.

On craigslist in my town, just the drums (without the stands, snare, BD pedal, throne, etc...) only sell for about $125. You can buy them brand new, with (crappy) cymbals for around $350. Used price with everything would be about half of that = $175. Minus the snare and hardware and cymbals...you're looking at not much money. There are people out there looking for practice kits, though. If you can get $200 for it, kudos! If you can't, try lowering the price, but don't go lower than a pre-determined amount that you've come up with.

Those are nice crashes though. The 2002 and the a custom crash and splash.

Wait, are you just selling the drums? not the cymbals?
