Wow, a simple video.. yet the effect it has on the viewer ranges from nearly being brought to tears, to having a huge smile, to laughing hysterically. That was fanstastic, and I have been to quite a few of the places shown.

While I have no access to youtube over here....one video that is now on youtube was always inspirational to me.

In the 2005/2006 Grammies, Josh Stone and Melissa Ethridge did a couple of Janis Joplin's hits. (Kenny Aronoff on the drums IIRC). Josh Stone started, and introduced Melissa. Melissa was still bald and weak from chemo for breast cancer. That in itself was amazing that she was even there.

She went on to completely blow the roof off the place with her rendition of "Take a little piece of my heart.". It was powerful, uplifiting, inspirational and brought eveyone to thier feet...including Joplin's surviving relatives.

If you have ever lost someone to cancer...it carries a special resonance.

I think i must be stripped of all emotion, i didn't feel like crying, laughing, i just thought "that is a guy dancing with people, great". I mean it was a cool video but, it just didn't seem to come across to me in the way it seemed to do with anyone else.

I suppose I'd be insulted for expressing my opinion on it.
But I don't care...
Everyone is obsessed with world peace, some think you do it by killing those who oppose, some think you do it by sitting in a bed with your asian wife and pretending it helps, and some people think by dancing they can help. But the very few who truly know how to create world peace are ignored.
When you hear how simple this is you'll shit bricks....
Free trade and open borders. That's it, that's all you need. Don't believe me, look at britain and france and examine history, watch the war trends as the trade and border policies change. I love that people want to change the world, but to do that you need to thing like those who control it, and those who control have one thing on their mind, money. Nearly every war that has occurred in the past century was really about money. Someone wanted something, they couldn't get it, so we started war.
