Boston: acoustic or e-kit???

Boston's last few albums drums sound to me as if they are an e-kit, or a *heavily* effects-laden acoustic kit. Can anyone confirm which type kit was used? Especially on "higher power".

Boston tends to greatly overproduce their stuff, so it doesn't surprise me their drum kit doesn't even sound like a drum kit.
