I like metallica myself, I have liked them for a very long time. I wanted to like St Anger, but I couldn't. It seems they lost me there. I got a copy here at my deployed location and have had the opportunity to listen to it once.
Death magnetic seems to be a return to the pre-black album "bite" they used to have. At first listen (I may be in the minority here) I like it, and most definately better than St Anger.
Lar's drumming fits, though not overly complex or busy. I will have to see if the cd holds up to repeat listenings, and how well it grows on me.

All you had to do was scroll down to the middle of the page and you would see the thread. The search function works well here buddy. I hope you found what you were looking for.

Certain things are blocked while I am deployed. The search function for metallica did not reveal that to me. Trust me, I tried... :(
Edited.

Yes it did, thank you for posting it.
Alas, unless photos are an attachment I cannot see the nice kits people have here. Photobucket, myspace and the rest are blocked by the cyber-fascist "smartfilter" software they run here.
See, it's ok for me to be involved in a war, where people are mutilated, and die...but they are worried I might *accidentally* see a bare breast or something.
-ooh- not that! That could allow the taliban to win! :P
