View Full Version : Help choosing a custom bass drum head design

Hi

The kind people at customskins.co.uk have given me 3 previews of some designs I sent them for my bass drum reso head.

I am pretty undecided about which I like best and which to order.... Your thoughts on each? If it helps my kit is a TAMA Superstar in custom charcoal (Quite a dark colour) which is why I am leaning toward the white head as I think it might stand out better.

you should do a design like the first one, but have the rifling follow into the off-center port.
i think it would look better to have only one circular focal point on the head.

i know what you mean but i think such a port does add to the sound of the drum if you like that sort of sound. I like the first design too. If you can have fiberskyn heads or whatever they're called the 3rd design might look bitchin' too.
