Can anyone tell me what the transcription book is like in Gadd's In Session DVD? Is it fairly extensive or does it just give you little snippets and a taste of what he is doing, or somewhere in between.
Thanks

That's what the current advertisement says. Maybe they use the phrase instruction book. But they definitely imply you get something written. Check out Amazon.

Here is a quote from CD Universe. Is this not right? I hate videos with no written music.
This video comes with its own accompanying instructional booklet, contains a wealth of teaching by simply showing Gadd playing his relentlessly ... Full Descriptionimpeccable licks in loose improvisatory jams, and fleshing them out with illustrative voiceover comments. Watch him jam out with amazing musicians in such styles as funk, Latin, reggae, shuffles and ballads

Is this book the same as "Steve Gadd Up Close?"

My DVD says it comes with printable instructional material, which means you can print it from the DVD. You need to access an internet site; but it does not tell you how. I really don't remember this coming with any other material and have always used it as a play a long.
Well I just checked them out and their are two sections. Qne is called Building the Funky Beat. It looks like it is out of the Garibaldi book. and the other is from Up Close and features Fifty Ways and a Mozambique for Late in the Evening.
