I guess I should start. My last gig was with this 3 piece band I play in, I also play in 2 others, doing an outdoor party for the Dawn Patrol Motorcycle Club in Bridgewater NJ. Weather was spectacular, good food, moonshine if you wanted it (none for me thanks). Could have used more girls though...That band jumps around materialwise and plays a hodgepodge of different styles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, War, Stones, Neville Brothers, Elvin Bishop, Ronnie Earl, ZZ Top, Sly and the Family Stone, Al Jackson, James Brown...They're all over the map, that band definitely takes me out of my comfort zone but that's a great thing because it forces me to play stuff I normally wouldn't.

I played with my band Trippy Wicked & the Cosmic Children of the Knight last night at the Fiddlers Elbow in Camden last night. It was cool, and very sweaty. It was actually the first time I've had to use someone elses kit which was an enlightening experience. Took me a few songs and a few mistakes to loosen up to it but it was good. And sounded ten times better than mine.

Dude I laughed at your other post - are there any girls here, tell us about your hair. Wicked.

This summer I've played with Kostarev Group in open-air festival. It was incredible experiense despite to a lot of problems with sound and very long sound-check.

It was at a public park on June 17th(Independence day of Iceland) and there were quite a few people there. We played Master of Puppets - Metallica, Hysteria - Muse and more. It was fun.

A few weeks ago I sat in for a Jazz quartet. The pianist and double bass player are in a piano trio with me. Though this time there was another bass player...from somwhere.

So I played with the sax and bass the first time, there was a short hello, the rest of the conversation happened with playing. :-)

It was a lot of fun surely.

Outside of playing this morning at church (and every Sunday), we played an outdoor gig last Sunday afternoon called "Blues on the Block" in the town of Orwigsburg, PA. Beautiful day, 5 bands throughout the day and a great time. Played on the host band drummer's kit, 1970's vintage Slingerland in excellent condition...sounded great and was a lot of fun. Our second year there and hopefully we'll be back in 2009!

Last Sunday I played with The String Band (a contemporary Bluegrass Band). We played a private party outside at a Large mansion in the North Haven Ct area. It was a fun gig. We all had a great time with a fun group of people. The weather was perfect also. Two other bands played throughout the day. So we had plenty of time to party and have fun with the party guests.

I just got back from a festival this last weekend. We played two shows on two nights and a workshop in the afternoon. Made some good cabbage on that one, too.

That's why I started this thread, I'm kinda new here, and I'm trying to get a feel for all the musical perspectives that are represented here.
