Is there a difference?

I've been looking into getting a butt shaker to finnish off my set. What I'm trying to figure out is what I need (and getting it as cheap as possible) Which brings me to my question. Is there a difference between the Butt Shaker, and a tactile transducer. I heard they were one in the same, but wasn't sure. Also I need to know what I'm going to need to get this up and running. I'm basically doing this so I can "hear/feel" what my bass player is doing because I use in ear monitors. Any/all help would be greatly appreciated.
