This is a ROUGH mix mp3 of myself (on drums) and my electric guitarist on the song "Don't Know Where I'd Be." This song is part of my band's 15-song demo CD that we are currently recording and self-producing, along with our friend who is mixing and mastering for us.
We originally recorded the drums using ProTools LE and then our friend uses Logic for the mixing stage since he does that in his own home/studio.
For the track, I used an old CB 4-pc kit, Pearl Maple Piccolo 13" snare, Sabian cymbals, Evans heads, and Shure and Octavia mics. More or less the same config for the entire album.. substituting cymbals and snares when needed on other songs.
There is no bass, acoustic guitar, or vocals in this track.. We're just playing around with the drum EQs and such. Our friend dialed in too much Snare Bottom gain, so we'll have to fix that.. too much buzz and reverb! And please ignore the snare hit in the very very beginning and parts where the hi-hat is just "tick tick tick" (that's only for timekeeping). I think he forgot to edit those out lol.
Please enjoy and we hope to finish our entire album within 3-4 weeks!!! We're so amped!
