Nice and clean with the less is more approach. Your left hand is developed and your right leading hand works well. Keep up the great work.
great stuff! What snare drum is that? I'm guessing it's a 12'' tama hammered steel snare? I'm saying because I used to have one but I'm probably wrong lol. But great playing!

Great great job switching those 5s 6s and 8s, you're way better than me at that, Mike Talbot, a name to remember

Up until about 0:50, I had no idea what you were playing, except for a few spurts of halftime shuffle. Wow!!! Great playing, and I don't think I've ever heard anything similar to it before. Well, I have to admit I hear some Jojo Mayer and some Greg Saunier (but that second one is probably just because of the small kit). You have great timekeeping and amazing coordination and a sense of groove not to mention chops for days. That hand technique looks totally fluid. Keep up the great playing! May I ask what cymbals you're using? They sound great.
I sense some Jeff Sipe influence in there. Great work, if are or once were a Sipe student or fan you have a great understanding of what he teaches. I hope to be at your level at some point. Very inspiring!

Great job man... I wish I had the control you do with your left hand. Mine left hand definately brings me down.

Thanks for watching everyone! I did study with Jeff about 10 years ago. That's funny that you can pick out that influence. He was a great teacher.
The snare is a 1969 Ludwig 400. I will post more vids soon!

The hihats are a 14" K top and a quick beat bottom. The ride is an old 20" Zildjian Z from the 1980's. I'm trying to find the perfect cymal still that I can crash and ride! Anyone have any suggestions?
Anything from bosphorus! after watching that video i would suggest the Stanton Moore wide ride, check it out on cymbals only http://cymbalsonly.com/

Great technique. It's like a schizoid shuffle. I was never sure what you were going to do next but it all held together.

I like that! Schizoid Shuffle... that would be a good song title!

that was some great drumming - upbeat and offbeat and nicely played, you showed some well controlled speed with that right foot and left hand, nice licks mike!
the elusive crashable ride? i'm just checking them out myself, but look at the Paiste giant beat 'multis' - very nice...
