Funny story. I had this real simple beat I started jamming on where I pump eighth notes w/ the left foot, hold 16ths on the ride, and provide a lot of space w/ the snare and kick. It was inspired by a Lamb tune from the 90's.

My guitar player started playing Elanor Rigby over the top of it...and this is the cover that oozed out of it.

Nothin' special...but it's a fun one to play. Not really that funny of a story either...in hindsight.

Ok, so I was filling in these Anthony Jackson type 8th note syncopated staccato bass lines with the track and it really sounded great.

well, sounded good without me too, ; ).. I like the space you & the guitarist are in.

So get a bass player, Vin.. no I 'aint moving to Boise.

Sweet! You should shoot me a track and I'll mix it in.

Dusty is leaving town for keeps on the 1st. so we just gave up on the idea of picking up another bassist.

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Anyone else care to weigh in? Are we doing it justice or are we murdering a classic?

Thanks! I like it too...it's a 21" HHX Dry Ride. It's a bit on the heavy side for me so I may buy a lighter one someday soon...something a bit more washy and crashable. Same for the Groove Hats...just too heavy.
