My wife and I got to go this weekend to Nashville ,Tn for the Ringo Starr show. It was our 18th wedding anniversary. I had not enjoyed myself that much in quite a while. The band was great and they ROCKED!! Anyone who says Ringo can't play has issues........he was great!! It took me a few minutes to get over the fact that I was in the same room as a Beatle !! I know it sounds corny (especially since I'm in my 40's) but he seemed larger than life when he walked out on the stage. It was a night of hits from some great classic rock artists and Edgar Winter blew me away!! I wanted to take pictures but the Wildhorse Saloon didn't allow it.......CRAP!! But I did have a great stroke of luck, Gregg Bissonette was walking across the main floor and I had the opportunity meet him-he was very, very nice. My wife took a pic of us together, what a great night!!
As if that wasn't enough, we went Fork's Drum Closet to look around.I saw the Sonor Steve Smith signature kit (#38) that he used at his recent clinic......WOW!! Lot's of great stuff!!! Well my wife got me a Ludwig 6 1/2 x14 supra-phonic . SHE"S THE BEST!!!!!!
I have posted a couple of pics. If you get the opportunity to see the Ringo show,DO IT!!!! You won't be sorry!!
