Haha, thanks, my fav. pearl too. Means a lot cause I know youre a Yamaha guy, and I was gonna buy an absolute maple kit, but it was just too expensive for me this summer. I think im getting a really good deal at 1100. Next year I plan on getting a birch or oak custom since i have "maples" now.

That's a great kit.
I'm gonna guess that the finish is Purple Craze.

Re-check that.
That's a bargain, I think the regular price for those would be upwards of 2300. I'm going to say the color is gold sparkle.

Thats why I put maple in quotations! It is partly a "maple" kit. Thanks everyone for the comments, you're getting me hyped about these drums!

Now that I remember, my drum teacher once had a purple craze kit in her studio for a couple weeks that I got to play. Not only did it sound and feel great, it looked just gorgeous. I'm crossing my fingers for purple craze...

LOL...either way it's a great color. It was my favorite Pearl Reference color until recently. Now they offer some sort of pearl-white finish...I love white kits.
DW offered a 'lexus white' at one time...I wonder if they still do?

Wow you were really determined to find my kit! lol Yea the color is purple craze, it will match my purple fade yamaha snare nicely Hopefully! I'm glad you found it cause you say youve done business with Ontario before and say theyre a good company! It's always iffy when you have to send them 1100 bucks plus shipping before you even get anything, but now that i know theyre actually a real business it makes me even more hyped about my purchase! I cant wait till that big shiny UPS truck gets to my door!
Now I just have to wait...

They have a "Snare Museum" in the store. They have 3 of Alex Van Halen's engraved Black Beauty's from different tours, a Ludwig Ringo Starr snare he used on some tour and one of the actual John Bonham Supraphonics he used in 1978 I believe. Also and old Eric Carr (RIP) Ludwig snare.
The store is very big and the sales people there are top notch. Nice guys and very, very well respected. I am surprised that they only had a 97 percent positive feedback.
Feel safe and secure with your purchase. If you have any issues, I live somewhat local and can go to the store in person if you need.
Let me know how the kit is!!!!

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Purple drums are my favorite. I currently have a Mapex Pro M with Purple to White fade that I love. Looking at it makes me smile.
My dream kit is a DW Custom Kit in purple with gold hardware and black stands (Go Ravens!!!!!!!!!)

Were they the same set on e-bay referred to in an earlier post?
Because that set has now been sold for $1124 and only ended a couple of hours ago. The bid stood on $1100 for a while.

Yea thats the kit, i bought it for 1124....The auction ended on July 6, I dunno where you're looking...
Im hoping i can get some good umphf out of that bass drum. Its only a 20 but i've heard reference bass drums are insanely big sounding. Also heard the same about the floor toms...
I recorded on reference's about 2 years ago, but dont really remember that much. I know they sounded and looked wicked, but i only used the toms in my recording.
