I have seen a couple sunlite kits for a good price. Are they any good? If you don't think so or do think so why? Please let me know you thoughts. Thanks!

They are entry-level kits, but with some care they can be tuned to sound decent. If you are just getting started in drumming, it's probably best if you don't spend a lot of money on a set. If you can get a good deal on it, buy and see if you like drumming. If you don't like drumming, you can sell the Sunlite and get most of your money back. If you do like drumming and want a better set, you can sell the Sunlite, get most of your money back and put that down on a better set.

Take a look at Craigslist. It's full of desperate people who spent a fair amount of money on a set and now need to get rid of it because they or their kid lost interest. You don't want to be one of those people - you want to buy from one of those people. Within reason, get the lowest price set you can afford if you are just getting started. You should be able to get a decent used starter set, with stands and cymbals, on Craigslist for $300. If you like drumming you can invest in a better set.

In my opinion, Sunlite is junk and I disagree with the statement that you will get most of your money back on resale. If you buy a used quality set then the resale price will be close to your buying price.
