If you can have fun and enjoy playing on your set, that's all that matters. Don't worry about gear, you can buy all the gear in the world eventually. It's not about the gear-- it's about you having fun playing. Oh, and I like the tom flying off the clamp. I do a similar thing with my rack tom.

Thanks guys. If I become a professional someday, I'll order a custom drumset made of birch. I also want a set of Paiste Traditional. I can't afford them right now and I don't want to force myself unless I'm a professional. Currently I play pop/funk, a little jazz and latin sometimes, just for fun.

Now that you have a tight little kit, start looking on ebay or Craigslist for the sweet cymbal deals. I just found a1 5" Paiste 2002 hi hat top, 20" 2002 ride and 18"Paiste Alpha crash for a combined $60.00 on Craigslist. They guy had no idea what he had. Be patient and you will be able to find some great deals for your future cymbal needs.

You really have every thing you need, Sonor definitely make some of the best, solid & inexpensive first time kits as good as anything at twice that price range especially after a few tweaks here and there; but you may not even have to do anything additional.
Good eye for the buy.

Thanks for the compliments. I was inspired by the setups that I saw in this forum. I love many of them, especially the vintage ones. And I do enjoy this inexpensive Sonor-Paiste very much. By the way, the 2002 ride on the Craiglist is a very good deal, especially if it's a Dry Ride. I'll check the site.
