[simple kit user]

I have 507 kit which is made of the same wood (Japanese basswood) and spec as 1005/1007. I bought it and Paiste 101 altogether as a package with two bonus Yamaha clamps at $520. Its sound is decent. Of course you can't compare it to a high end kit, but it's worth every buck I spent.

By the way, why don't you try a 1007, a newer model?
