In one round the Supra could probably take it, more than one round and the BB would win by knock-out.

I have both (6.5 x14)- First, both drums are wonderful, and I really can't see myself needing any other snare drum in the future. Both are similar, but they each have a chararcter all their own. My BB has a little more "snare" bite to it than the supra. Not to say it is more sensitive, it just a little more crisp. The supra has that easily identifiable bark to it that makes me smile every time I hit it. You really should try them both out before buying. This cat has videos of each as well as a bronze. I think the sound he gets is pretty representative of the drums. Scroll down for his videos.

I do not have a BB but I own a 1965 Supraphonic and I love it!, every time I play it I remember why ;-) I would love BB and will have on eventually.

They really are both great drums. The BB has a little more ring to it, almost a musical note. I would say if you need a little more volume, as in, outdoor gigs, loud guitars, I would go for the BB. You really can't make a bad decision though.-
