I no longer use the mount mount on my Pacific FS bass drum. I am looking for a good way to fill the holes left from it. I am not really wanting to fill it in with wood and I dont have to money or patience to refinish the drum. I just want a good looking preferably chrome or wood plate to cover the tom hole and the four screw holes. The tom mount is just too big for me to not be using it...
What should I do?
The mount:

I would use it to mount cymbals off of. Either find a cymbal stand top that would fit exactly or clamp off of the original tom mounting post.
I would avoid the chrome plate idea. I think they look tacky. That is, unless you're good with metal and can make a cool design or logo on it. Maybe make a cup holder out of it?

I just dont need it...
I wish it were smaller with a low profile.
