A real beauty!!! I love Ludwigs. I bet they sound great! I have the same snare and it is great. It just gets better every time I play it. You have a great kit and you should be proud. BTW, are the shells white or natural inside? Just curious.

Thanks, the shells are natural inside and they sound great. I also really really love the snare, though I might want to replace the P85 strainer for the p86.

You know the face you make when you stick a lime in your mouth? That's what happened when I scrolled down to see that BB, absolutely stunning, was not expecting that.

That Black Beauty is AMAZING.

I am very jealous.
I think if I were to get one id get the tube lugs as well.

Very classy looking setup.

Congratulations.

Ludwig really is the best name there is. Gotta love the simple four piece set up. That finish is absolutely gorgeous. Here here to sparkle finishes.

Nice Kit bud, If you are thinking of changing the strainer . . seriously consider the engraved p86. It was a limited edition thing but you can still grab 'em. www.classicdrums.com . . . just send a mesage to see if he's still got some in (rather cheap aswell !) It will set that snare of just right ;-)

Nice one . . :-)

thanks everyone for the compliments! i really enjoy playing this kit. sounds great! the black beauty is a killer!
as requested, another picture. unfortunately the color doesn't look as great as it is since the picture isn't completely sharp.

I'd make use of the rail mount if I were you, save on carrying that snare stand around with you.

I prefer the snare stand because he doesn't use the vintage cymbal mount either. But no matter where the tom and ride are, a vintage Ludwig kit is always beautiful, especially in a sparkle finish like this.

Once again, cool kit man. Would you mind joining the Ludwig Fan Club social group and submitting your beautiful kit to the album gallery?

Link to the group is in my sig.

Looks like you and I have the exact same sets, except I have the matching snare, but mine is not in anywhere near as good of condition as yours. That is really beautiful and gives me something to aspire to when I go to clean mine up. Would you mind telling what you paid for it?

wow, that's pretty cool! i would love to have that snare! i paid 1100 euro for it. a lot more than most kits in USA, since they're pretty rare in Europe.

edit: damn! i just checked your pictures at your myspace, you have 3 vintage luddies!
