...my jazz kit on steroids.

18x16, 15x13, 13x9, with 14x6" edge snare. 20" Sabian aax stage ride, 14" stage hats, 16" stage crash, and 18" legacy crash.

This is a real nice tight boomy kit. I love the 15" tom. I am using G-2 coated over G-1 coated, same as my other wmp toms. This combo seems to be baz proof, and sounds great with out having to fuss too much.

This is my other wmp kit. 24x16, 12x8, 14x14, 16x16, 14x6" maple snare.

I guess this concludes my evil plan regarding this kit. Now all I have to do is sell off a bunch of my other stuff, and get my evil Unix plan in gear.

Hello, Barry

Very nice drum set up and colour, reminds me the previous set up that Ian Paice/Deep Purple had with his Ludwig's. That bass drum of yours must mark a good pace and sound!

All the Best!

If I owned both of those and had them in the same room, I don't think I would be able to hold off the urge to combine them into one super-kit.

12, 13, 14, 15 and 16" toms? It's just ASKING for it.

Amen. That'd be freaking sweet.

...Thanks for the replies guys.

I have thought about setting it up as a monster kit, but it would only be for pictures, as I know that I would never play it like that. Besides, I know how spastic I am with a double pedal, I can't imagine how funny I would sound on a double bass.

I am pretty much a die hard four piece guy at heart, but I am getting to like the one up two down.

if you made a monster kit do it like stanton moore. the 18 kick as your main and the 24 as a side of extra punch for a huge sounding chorus!

exactly, or the other way around like dave weckl. 24 as the main, and 18 on a remote pedal.

that way they're both on your right foot and there's no double bassing allowed, unless you wanted to hit them both at the same time!

come on... do it!
