my kit

hi, ive been a member for quite some time and have never posted some pics of my kit. it is nothing special but sounds pretty good. it is a beginner kit but it actually sounds quite good with the pinstripes i have on the toms. and my metalworks snare is amazing. im saving up for a new kit and better cymbals. but im pretty content with this kit right now im not gigging alot so it gets the job done. there is alot of dust on them probly cause there is 8 people living in my house and its in my living room. i always dust them but they jsut seem to keep collecting dust. i gave up and trying to get the dust off and just work with it =) oh well here are the specs

Nice drum-set, nice blue colour, I like the toms set up.
Try to keep it clean then your drums will shine like a diamond. Be proud of it, mine are a beginner-intermediate set as well and I am honoured.

im not actually sure of the depth of the toms but they are power toms so they are pretty deep.
and the snare sounds amazing its so loud and is on the the dryish soundsing side. my drum teacher says its the loudest sounding snare hes every heard. and i think its true you cann feel it in your body on the really powerful rimshots. he also wants to use it on his next record, so that has to count for brownie points. im not sure if i can get a recording but ill try. and the brushed steal look is really nice =)
the ride is more on the quieter side. it doesnt really get the job done in the heavier moments. i mean i love that ride it has such a nice sound adn is great for the lighter stuff. not sure how to explain the sound of it but im sure there is a sample on the zildjian site.
it is a comfy set up took a while to figure out how to position things but i finnaly got it and it feels great. and i have no clue why the felt beaters leave those marks!!

I see you've been writing out parts on manuscript. That's awesome, it's a great way to work on reading and learning things by ear. That crash looks like it's been to hell and back though. Anyway, you have some very nice gear, and I can tell from the fact you're transcribing parts that you know what you're doing. Yeah! Awesome.

yeah every song i ever learned i have written out by ear. (That is Meant to live by switchfoot,that was on the manuscript book, fot those curious what is was) my drum teacher helps me if i cant get a part. but over the years ive gotten alot better at it. and it totally more practical to write out parts. you can put them to a metranome and just read in stead of memorizing every single part. it helps alot in the process of learing a song and those really hard parts.
and yeah that crash has gone through alot. it was given to me a little cracked but i tore that thing up. that crash is the first thing i need to replace.
