Wow, that is something to be proud of. Looks so shiny, I'd only want to play it with mallets.

Absolutely gorgeous. Oak takes finishes just too nicely. Great drums and nice choices in cymbals, too. Chalk up another one on the KILP list.

Those drums are awesome. My local shop has one Oak Custom set in the same color for sale for $2050. It's a 6 piece and it looks incredible. Your finish in person is stunning.

I bought that ride back in 98 or so and have never even considered trying out another one.
I love the bell, it has the right balance of stick defintion and wash when you need that"wall" of sound.
2 words for you my friend "get one"

I really like them very responsive, and they sound killer on this base drum. It was so easy to just get that "it" sound on this base drum with no effort at all. All I did was put on a emad as soon as I took it out of the box. medium tension and voila instant thunder!

Have to look at this kit over and over again...I don`t know why, just looks so great! So well set up, very nice selection of cymbals and drums.
I`ve a mind to play this kit... =)
Do you feel that these oak drums are "loud" compared with other woods?

To be honest at first I was worried that these drums would be far too much "drum" for my practice room. I dont find them to be so loud that it hurts to play them but I do admit when im grooving on them they do sound louder them my maple kit.
The Bass Drum, this thing is like a cannon, I never even put the stock ps3 that it comes with, I had already bought an evans emad. It is so solid when I play it low end for days, makes the floor shake!!!!

Beautiful set. My buddy had an Oak kit. I loved the look and the loud. And Yamaha hardware is my staple. Really nice.
