Hi All

Long time lurker, infrequent poster.

I finally got around to taking some pics of my kit which I have been accumulating over the last 6 months or so. It's not as flash as many of the kits on here, but it suits my purposes pretty well so far - although the addiction to buying new stuff means that an upgrade on the drums is probably not too far off.

Drums:
Sonor Force 3007 (in sunbust finish):
- 22 x 17.5 bass drum
- 14 x 14 floor tom
- 12 x 9 tom

DW Collectors maple snare (14 x 5) in ruby glass glitter
Ludwig Black Beauty (14 x 6.5) (not in pics)

Cymbals (from hi hat round in the pic):
- Sabian AA 14" regular hi hats (I also have some 14" Ks on the way)
- ZIldjian K Custom 8" dark splash
- Zildjian Armand 16" medium thin crash
- Mienl Byzanze 10" splash
- Zildjian Armand 21" ride
- Zildjian A Custom 17" crash
- Zildjian 19" Armand Beautiful Baby ride

Hopefully there are pics - but I am somewhat technologically challenged so I apologise in advance if it doesn't work.

Absolutely love it, I'm a sucker for the Sonor's in warm colored fades....

and you have a great selection of cymbals.

Hot kit.

I really like your cymbal layout. The top view makes it look like an painter's palette.

i hope to have a layout like this one day but with one more higher rack tom where the k splash is. and one more floor tom but other than that pretty much the same layout

I would like to get a second floor tom - but as they say, baby steps. Besides, the bank account has already recieved a fair punishing getting the other gear.

Best thing I have done in a long time is getting back into the drums, but man it is not good for the cash surplus - oh well, that is why I work!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Your gear lives up to your screenname, Ken. ;) Very cool stuff. I love the cymbal selection. The beautiful baby ride is really a nice one. There's just one small thing:

Ludwig Black Beauty (14 x 6.5) (not in pics)

Now see, you can't just say something like that and not follow up. You have to have some pictures of it lying around somewhere, right?

Welcome to the forum Ken (although its been awhile since you signed up!), great kit! I like the DW snare a lot. Hows the head on it? Play nicely? Is it a Powerstroke 3?

Thanks driver - you are right, it has been a while since I signed up - what can I say, up until now I have had little to say lol.

You are also right on the head, it's a Powerstroke 3. It came with the snare. I am a massive fan of this drum - I really love the sound and I found it an absolute breeze to tune to a point that the sound just made me smile.

youenjoy00myself - I will see what I can do on some pics of the Black Beauty, that also is an awesome drum, but wow is it loud!
