I'm trying to learn jazz, i need some help. i also want to learn how to play metal since those are basically the two genres i listen to. any tips? recommendations? suggestions?

I also play both jazz and metal equally. They are two individual spheres of drumming, but they do share some aspects. Work on being able to do good accenting, as this will help with jazz. Unfortunately, playing metal kills your sense of accents. Also, make sure to listen to an equal amount of jazz and metal.
