Well I have a DW 7002 double pedal and I was just playing and BAM! the spring snaps on the master pedal. I picked it up and it was quite hot, so there was obviously a lot of friction. Now if you examine exhibit A there's a little black ring that holds the spring I've pointed out.

According to the DW site "the ball-bearing rocker reduces friction." The other day, I noticed that that little black ring I had pointed out in the picture wasn't moving on the master pedal, while it was on the slave. However, not knowing how to fix it and wanting to play I ignored it... now it has broken. So, two questions after this rambling. First, where would I go about buying a replacement spring for my pedal?(perhaps two just to have it match on both sides) And two, how would I fix that little ring(I think it has a ball bearing in there)? It could just need a good oiling, but it felt like it was too resistant just to be solved by oil. Anyways, thanks in advance.
by the way if you click on the thumb nail it is easier to see the area I am talking about.
