I'm looking to get some noise cancelling headphones to wear whilst playing so I can play along to my music..

I don't really want to spend more that £60+

I have already found a couple, but if any of you guys already have some what do you recommend.

These two are very good choices. They do a very good job of reducing outside noise, and can plug into your mp3 player or your mixer/preamp if you're recording.

Vic Firth SIH1 Isolation Headphones

Direct Sound Extreme Isolation Headphones (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Direct-Sound-Extreme-Isolation-Headphones?sku=240170)

I have the Vic Firth headphones, and they're incredible as far as quality goes. I have used the Extreme Isolation headphones, and they are much better as far as sound quality goes, but also cost about twice as much as the Vic Firth ones.

I had availability problems with the extremes in Canada, and they shipped me my order direct. Very friendly folks - I even had a discount (may be because I bought three pairs...)

Not the best headphones out there - you can pay a lot more.... but much superior to Vic Firth's product soundwise.

As far as I know, they only ship to the US and Canada. But I'm sure you can get the headphones in the UK. Don't go with the Sony headphones, they're over rated and I don't think the noise cancellation is what it would be with drums in mind.

I just picked up the Extreme Isolations on sale at Musician's Friend and love them. Well worth the few extra bucks.

Cheers!

You want my advice? Go with the Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones. I bought these like 2 years ago and never looked back. I use them for recording, monitoring, mixing, enjoying music to the highest standards in comfort, and best of all, the noise cancellation is insane:

They should be charging over £100 for these, they're perfect as far as I can tell. Nice long spiral lead and 2 year guarantee too.

Good luck,
Lloyd.
