I need to find some snares or some similar snare set up for my micro kits snare drum. I'm dropping the bottom head from a Pearl firecracker snare and moving the snares to the bottom of the batter head. What does everyone think? Does anyone know where I can get some snares to fit this style of set up? I've seen pictures of a sort of "flared" snare wire set up that is attached on one side and uses pressure against the head to engage the snare sound.

My set is going to be very similar to this fella's, with the exception being the placement of the tom and ride. Thank you.
