Need help finding new set

I need to find a good set for around $1,000-1,500. I have been playing for almost two years and play everything from light rock to death metal. I have been thinking about a DW, Gretsch, or mapex.

Yes, off course we all know that if you played Gretsch drums in a death metal situation they would instantly explode. I suggest a Gretsch Renown maple. Great drums for the price.

Dude you should watch Spinal Tap the movie again cause exploding metal drummers are pretty common:)


but the drummer was playing Ludwig in Spinal Tap. =)

Check out some Tama. They make great drums too! Check out Superstar kits or the hyperdrives! I own a Tama superstar EFX and i think that it's great for metal songs! It's loud and not that hard to tune! Those hyperdrive should be also great!
