Guys, I really need to use my snare drum for practicing in other place but I don't have any snare bag (going to get them soon, still ordering them). Is it OK if I carry it without any drum bag, I mean like carrying it in a normal bag or bring it without any bag? I'm just scared if it's going to be broken since it's new and it's crap expensive! Thanks

Obviously you want it in a case. However, my first snare traveled with me all over Pennsylvania without a case, and had no problems. Still, it only takes one little mistake...

well... just take care of your stuff!!! we can't tell you your snare is gonna be fine if you aren't gonna take care of it.. but if you DO take care of it then it should be fine..

The lugs should protect the finish, so the main concern would be damage to the heads, especially the thin snare head. One drop or poke would destroy it. I wouldn't take it anywhere without a container, even if it's a cardboard box.

I'm ashamed to admit i've been gigging and reahearsing my wooden hooped Anton Fig snare drum without a case for the last 6 months. I'm just too skint :(

this is what you get for getting a Warlord...lol....have to worry the guts out of you getting it to a practice...i hold my breath with my CB...much less a 600 dollar snare..
why cant you take your other snare?
DMC: if he hurt the lugs, they might just be as expensive as the shell itself...

The only thing you can do to protect it besides being careful is telling everyone else to **** off, theres no point in taking chances with other peoples stupidity. What is your traveling/playing situation like? Is it just jamming with your friends or is it gigs?

also, if your that worried...get a cardboard box....it sounds stupid...but it will protect it more than it just being open...
until you case gets in*

I'm going to use it in school for drama production stuff... I think I'll just use the box that they gave me when I just got my snare. It should be fine inside it and, yeah, I'm going to tell all of my friends to **** off... hehe...
