Shane, can you mix and match pieces on these blowout kits or do you have to buy the packages?

So the drum shop in my area has some brand new Tama Starclassic Performer B/B kits available for $900...standard 5 piece kits. I was just about to buy one when I stumbled upon this thread. Now I'm wondering...is the M-birch line in the same league as SC Performers? Or would I have to go up to something like the Pro-M, which is around the same price, but Maple instead of Birch?

I currently own an M Birch and used to own a starclassic performer.
The M Birch is a nice mid level kit. The starclassic is a pro kit.
I love my M Birch and haven't missed the starclassic, but the sc was definitely higher quality.

Got email and replied.
The SCs are definitely higher quality than M Birchs. M Birchs are great gig and practice kits. Great mid-range kits and you typically get a lot of stuff for the price.
SC's are about the same caliber as Saturns & Orions from the Mapex family.

Wow, these are some great deals. How long can I expect these prices to last? I'd love to get one of those Pro-M Fusion's at such a great price, but I won't have the money until I have some spare cash saved up early this summer.

Basically until they're gone. Many models and finishes are already gone. Drop me a line if you need help or want to put down a deposit....
Thanks!
