Did these ever come with hanging "floor" toms? Where can I find a history of this model? I tried Gretsch's website but with no luck.

I own a 2007 Renown and all of my research shows me floor toms. But I never went on an all out search.

Gretsch has made Renowns with hanging "floor" toms. The new kit with 10/12/14 hanging toms is what they call their Euro shell pack E825. I am not sure what the older shell pack numbers are, but I think they have been offering this as a standard configuration for awhile.

I am also looking for some history and I have a question. I got a great deal on an overstock set of Renown std's 2004, but they didn't come with the current Renown badge and had triple flange hoops (which I have changed to cast). It's the classic square badge but in silver with just Gretsch. Does anyone know when they changed to the new badge and cast hoops?

Thanks. This was helpful. Looking at the badge history I'd say my Renowns were in the warehouse for more than three years.
