I thought this may have been a Maple Custom but the hardware is not plated. I'm just curious. I thought it was a Maple Custom because of the bass drum logo head. All help is appreciated. Thank you.

It looks like a Maple Custom given the turquoise color of the shells, but it is really hard to tell in this video. His snare looks like a Maple Custom with wood hoops, and there is a photo of him using this kind of snare on his drummerworld.com profile page. However, Yamahadrums.com's site has him listed as "officially" playing Oak Customs.

Doesn't the Maple Custom Absolute also come in this color? Thanks for the info.

The 2 o'clock bass drum lug flashes gold Intermittently when I watch the vid. MC usually has white front head, but that's not conclusive. Only the lugs themselves on MC are gold plated.

I don't think so. I believe the Maple Custom only comes in turquoise. The Maple Customs and the Absolute series come in piano black and vintage natural, but turquoise (and the gold lugs) are usually reserved for the Maple Customs--unless you're a Yamaha artist/endorsee and get special permission for a special color finish.

The other difference to look for is the hoop on the toms. Maple Customs have flanged hoops, and Absolute series have die-cast hoops. The Absolute lugs (nouveau or non-nouveau) also differ from the Customs.

Gorden is also a Yamaha endorsee and its quite possible that its an custom order (I dont like the gold lugs to ;) )
And its also possible that he bought himself the chrome lugs (code PLU2CR or 2CR2 for matte chrome) and put them on itself. These lugs are open for order to everybody,

The badge too. I have these drums in this finish.

In the picture on this site the lugs are gold plated. Now the badges I have no idea about. If its anything like Ludwig the endorsees get different badges than the public, but that's not to say his are different. I'm just telling what I learned as a beginner tech, haha which has nothing to do with anything accept for trying to make me feel educated.
