I tested this snare and like the sound fairly well. The look, lugs, design are an added plus. However, it is $747.00. Not sure if it is worth the price. Usually snares that justify that kind of high price tag are special Sonors, or Craviottos or Brady snares.

This snare is DEFINITELY worth the price - the highest quality aluminum shell, plated die-cast hoops ($150.00 right there...!) GMS SE hand-machined solid brass high-tension lugs and throwoff system (also hand machined), solid stainless steel tension rod receivers, top quality candy apple cobalt blue finish... easy to tune, extremely versatile (sounds great tuned high or low and anywhere in between)... shall I go on?
This is a SERIOUS snare, as are all GMS Special Edition and Grand Master series drums... If you ask me, the price is quite fair.
...And to answer your next question, yes, I do own one... ;)
