I just picked up a double iron cobra for my son and we just realized he has a single thin patch on his SK1 drumhead.
Any way to remove these without destroying a 50 dollar head?

Peel it off as best as you can. There will be most likely be some glue left sticking to the head. You can use nail polish remover OR lighter fluid to get that off. A product called goo be gone also works. All 3 will work and they will not damage the head. I have done this several times. Use a cloth instead of paper towels and be prepared to put some muscle into it. It won't just wipe off in a single shot. Once all the goo is gone, spray the head with some windex and that's that
