Heres a clip from a local band-competiton we entered (can you say that?) yesterday.
Bad monitoring and brushes made dynamics pretty hard, so the drums are pretty low from time to time. For some reason I have to be in a particular mood to find the deep pocket, and unfortunately I didnt have that then, but other than that I am pretty satisfied. Vocalist didnt warm up, so some pitch-problems.

The tune is called Picture Perfect and we wrote it the night before.

Comments are great. :)

No problems anywhere. Very professional job. By everyone. The drums sounded sound good and your paying was relaxed & seasoned. Loved the loosey goosey snare tone.

Ya, brushes riding the cymbal I always find loses definition in a song like this where each stroke has a lot of meaning..If it was me, I might have played a hotrod or a stick in my riding hand and a brush in the other..

But all n all... great playing.

Thanks for the nice comment! I'll try a hot-rod next time. What do you mean with "seasoned"? English isnt my first language, and all I can think of is spring, summer and winter, haha.

By seasoned I mean when the playing sounds confident & comfortable.

Ah, then I understand. Thanks again. I like to know the song, know the lyrics and where the whole piece is going, I really feel much better then, and my playing sounds better too.
