Best Evans Heads Combo?

Hey guys,
wondering about which combos sound the best.
I bought some ec2 coated and g1 resonants.
anybody know if these sound decent together?
and if there are any other combos that sound good too.

This combo is what i have on my Gretsch New Classics right now. Sounds good but the coated G2 over clear G1 is what I prefer.

yeah, the g2 coated over the g1s are quite popular, or so i have been told.
i think I'll try these out and then next time try the g2s out.

I have EC2 Clear over G1 Clear on my Mapex Pro M...great but a little too thick sounding for me. My Gretsch Catalina Rock has g2 coated/g1 coated and sounds fine although the g2s are pretty bright...I'm just going to stay with G1 Coateds in the future or try the Strata 1000

It looks amazing, in the concord fade with black hardware.
vbx sounds really nice too, if u like birch of course.
I payed just for the shells, since I got different hardware then what came with it.
It was $700.
It is usually $899 with hardware.
idk about the rack.

That's a great combination. I'm running those heads on a DW and a Yamaha kit and they both sound great. The G2s are very durable so you'll get a good life span out of them.

The store that I went to didn't have any clear g1s for the resonant.
So, is it ok to use the regular clear genera resonants?

The Genera reso heads will be fine. They produce a slightly brighter tone than the G1s.The sustain will be about the same. I had good results with them.

I just put EC2 Coateds over G1 clears on my Starclassic Maple and I love it. The G2 clears that it came with were fine, but I've always preferred a coated head.
