Hey Guys -
Thought you might enjoy these few pics. Me and another local musician participated in a local event in our area called Project Percussion. It's done every year and this was the 7th one. Essentially, it's an all day and night event full of clinics, performances, and master classes.
I conducted a clinic with Chris Thomas (one of our instructors and also the Percussion Director at Midlothian HS in VA). We held a "World Percussion Concepts" class which covered authentic afro-cuban and latin rhythms which played on percussion and drumset. Chris was on percussion and I on drumset. It was a blast and it would good to get out and play in public again. Funny that I didn't choose some small bar-type of gig but I had to go all out and do a **clinic** on a particularly challenging style of music (for me anyways)!
We were in such a rush that I didn't actually have time to find someone to take pics of us actually playing in front of a crowd. Too bad. Oh well, we'll be doing the same clinic/performance in 2 weeks from today at our Just Drums Clinic with Nick D'Virgilio.
Enjoy!
