ive just moved from houston to kansas and ive found a local band that has a pretty good fallowing in the area. and a good booking agent... ive never in my life played this style of music but its a fun new genre to explore. no double bass though im a single pedal fan...for now at least.

Great! Grab all the fun you can from it.
I once lived in Houston, downtown. Very strange city.

hahahaha. its my home first off. if you get to know the town theres some rad things. alot of art shows and great music. just a rad lifestyle. but you gotta know where its at.most of it is in suburbs of houston. i didnt live in houston i live about 5 min from it so when i went to houston it was to see a show or something. i didnt have to deal with it all the time. there are definatly some characters there. i saw a lady praying to a street sign once. it was odd. so you like the music?

Oh, jeez, let's see! Perhaps the affordable living, friendly people, diverse culture, short drive to the coast, the best team in the NBA, and good food??? It might not be as pretentiously artsy as Austin, but there is just as much good music and art to be found here as there is anywhere else.

As to the original topic, not exactly my cup of tea, but talent is definitely there. Good stuff.

I'm not really into the screaming thing, but when the singer actually sings he has a great voice. Your drumming is excellent. It really fits in with the style of music and I love the fact you are single pedaling it all of the way!! I can hear someone else just blasting away but I am digging the single pedal style.

thanks man. i try to kep it fresh and keep away from the "cliche" drumming. we actually just wrote a song that i play a drum and bass break beat influenced groove through the song. its fun and it throws people for a loop.
