Starclassic Performer Snare with Evans Heads

Hello everyone, I have a quick question...

I have a Starclassic Performer Snare drum which we all know is Birch. I tried several heads on it but no matter what head I used I hated the sound. Until I found the Evans EC Reversed Dot Coated Batter head. Good Lord does this snare crack now. I finally like my snare...But anyway here is my question....

I want more love from my snare, I still have the stock resonant snare side head, and I wanted to get some recommendations on what to switch it out with. I was thinking about getting the Evans Hazy 300 Snare Head.

Does anyone have any experience with this combination? and how do you like it?

Snares have always been my weakness...so anything to help will be greatly appreciated.

I'd say most here who use Evans use the Hazy 300 snare side head..I do. If you already like your batter head, then switching the stock reso to the Hazy 300 will only improve it. You can't go wrong IMO.
