2nd hi-hat help please.

Hi guys, im about to get a 2nd pair of hi hats for my set and i was wondering whether anyone happened to know what would go well with a set of 14 inch Avedis rock hi hats, im lookin at getting a 13inch pair.
any help much appriciated

I had that same issue a few months back... after much thought, the thing I did was NOT get a hihat that's ANY similar to my main hats... maybe that's the exact opposite of what you want, but it made sense to me to have a whole different language there.

What I ended up getting was TWO extra hats, yet didn't spend a whole lot at all.

My main hats are:
14" Combination of an OLD medium/thin avedis Top matched with a Quick Beat bottom.

The extra hats are:
10" Zildjian Special Recording hats... which now I adore for themselves, a fast tight sound, with funky tone and magnificent half open character.
Factory Metal X hats, with jingles... which I used on a fixed position, stacked on on top of another, instead of facing each other, this has a cool sort of trashy, jingly, hihat-sy sound that's verty cool for drum n' bass type colors, ambidextrous grooving and accent notes.
