I use one on my stage custom 22x17 kick...great tight low end sound with just enough muffling to get that punch but not too much to completely kill the tone of the drum...i also enjoy its flexable tuning range...i can get the head pretty tight and it still maintains tone at a pretty high tension....but thats just my view of this head...i have been interested in trying out the aquarian equivelant to this head...i think its the powerstroke 2 if i am correct...i love my emad but im interested in seeing how this other head compares...what exactly are u looking for from this thread? cuz from what i can tell u have one

o well then indeed its a great head....some people complain that the plastic peice that holds the muffling ring has ripped of the head...but i can only see this happening if the head is severly abused...i have had two of these heads and in both situations the sound and feel has been absolutely wonderful....great drum head i dont think u will be dissapointed

I have one on my 22" Gretsch, and it sure beats the pillow, blanket thing.

I have a small pillow in there along with my emad head but its only touching the reso head...as it is unported and is very thin with no muffling....i wish i could get the reso emad head...do you use one?
