Hi, I'm new in here. This is my kit. I really want to hear many opinion about this kit.
It's a Tama Superstar EFX in blue abalone finish with remo heads. The double pedal is an iron cobra rolling glide. Cymbal stands are mixed of Gibraltar, Tama and Yamaha.
Cymbals are 17" A Custom fast crash, 20" A Ping Ride, 11" K Hybrid Splash, 16" FX Spiral trash, 14" ZXT Trashformers, 14" ZBT 14" rock hihat, 16" rock crash, 20" rock ride and 18" China. The cowbell is Pearl 'el Negro' signature. I'm thinking of upgrading my hihat so recommendations are welcome. So here they are.

wow what a finish! I really like your cymbals to (well ok the zbts aren't the greatest, but i got zxts so w/e). which one is the trashformer and how do you like the spiral crash? As for hi-hat recommendations, I think an A or K would complement nice, but go out and try em all, then buy the one you like.

nice kit, the tom angles seem huge though, and the beater of the left pedal is different from the right...

True, both beaters are not flush with the face of the drum head

Hate is a strong word. Maybe you can just say you dislike it.

Geez, this is a rough crowd.
Looks pretty cool to me - you can play that kit out with pride!

This picture reminds me of a stop-motion photo of an explosion at a drum store.
Seriously, though, a nice set, with a good variety of cymbals, well-maintained and played with pride. I do notice the difference in stroke length between the beaters, but that might be close to the stroke length of a hihat and therefore easier to play. This tendency to keep beaters with equal stroke length might actually make it harder to train the left foot.

Nice kit and nice cymbal collection. I like the sound of the Zildjian K Mastersound or the K Custom Dark Hi-hats but that is just a personal preference. CymbalsOnly.com has a great selection of cymbals and audio files to listen to them.

LOL, it does!
Nice kit you have there, move your cymbals a bit closer and you have a solid beat machine.

I'll go out on a limb and say, "I love the finish" I had one similar in white abalone. And I found a blue satin flame set that looks similar at a yard sale for $5 a few years back that was sweet. Sold it 2 weeks later for almost $300.

thanks! The trashformers is not pictured. The spiral trash is awesome! It's super trashy and the model of it is weird, but I still love them.. So how about 13.25 K hybrid? Is it any good?

Nice kit.
What do you think of the Ping ride? :)

Thanks. I really like them! The bell sound is really strong and have lots of overtones. You can also crash them!!

I also play with an A Custom 20 inch ping and I like it. The bell is very spanky. I haven't tried crashing it, though, I will try that today and see how it goes.

in my opinion i think you should try lowering the cymbals some so that they are pretty flat
and sit just on top of the drums with just enough space to move freely

Actually, I do like that finish. Reminds me of my second kit years ago. You don't see much blue today.
However, the angles do seem a bit radical to my eye, and the cymbals look like the room just jumped, but hey if it works for you.

Those spiral trash are awesome! You should get them and you won't be disappointed by them! There aren't any such unique cymbals except this spiral trash!

One of your cymbals has been lying in the back of your car in the sun. Hope you've learnt your lesson.

So does it mean that all cymbals aren't allowed to be put in the car for a long time? Which cymbal is it? If it's the China, it's because of the polish, it was my 1st time using it and didn't know that we should shake it before using it.

Just joking with you. The cymbal looks like a vinyl record after some serious sun damage. But if it sounds good then it can look any way it likes.
