Jeeeeeeeesus that man is a beast, that first video is sickkkkk I love his hi-hat foot control its so signature of jojo I think

And I loved the tamborine shaker that was pretty slick too.

I also love his cymbals great industrial tones to them.

Yeah, just great. And I mean both, Bernhard and Jojo.

Here some Jojo from me:

short appetizer (http://www.drummerforum.de/users/00Schneider/messe08/jojo_kehrt.avi)

friday part one (http://www.drummerforum.de/users/00Schneider/messe08/jojo1.avi)
friday part two (http://www.drummerforum.de/users/00Schneider/messe08/jojo2.avi)

And for people who understand German some equipment explanation:
friday part three (http://www.drummerforum.de/users/00Schneider/messe08/jojo_3_klaerung.avi)

You need the x264 codec. If you don't have it or use VLC (http://vlc-media-player.softonic.de/), try FFDSHOW (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tryout/) (for e.g. Media Player Calssic) or get the codec here (http://www.free-codecs.com/x264_Video_Codec_download.htm) respectively here for Mac (http://www.macupdate.com/download.php/20273/x264qtcodec-1.1.0.dmg).

Hey, but the real highlight: Bernhard in the backround...ah, I wish I could have been there.

Maybe use VLC player, it can play everything. If you want to solve the problem with your player, better write a PM.

I'm sorry for the codec problem, I used the x264 because you get a better quality than divx or xvid. It's likely to the h.264 in Quicktime 7. (Audio is simply MP3.)

I downloaded that. No biggie. Great videos! Question though, in the second "full length" video, when JoJo sits 'side saddle' to the snare, what is he doing? I guessed he was using his left foot to put pressure on the bass drum head and change the pitch but I could be wrong.

No, you're right, exactly that is he doing.

Hey Karl,
Thanks for pointing that out. Does anyone know if there are any videos posted of Bernhard playing? I would enjoy watching THE MAN smackin' the skins.

Here's the same performance from another view, you see it there what he does with his left foot.

Yes, I think Bernhard already posted a video of him with a band playing a blues here! I`ve definitly seen it but when I looked out for it later I couldn`t find it anymore...

But it`s a pleasure to see him in a video again.

It's just recorded with the camera mic.

Yes and no. Bernhard had en external mic, my camera has a good internal (at least no overdrive), only the sabian guy (YouTube clips) semmed to have only a digicam.

But the bass drum was a 16" Force 3007 with closed reso head. What do you expect from that...? Rock or punk is off course something different... ;-)

Regarding his drumming I think it developed. At this point of speaking I always ask myself: When he really discovered or fell in love with the d`n`b scene?

Jojo started the Prohibited Beatz party in 1998, so possibly he started to get into it when d'n'b scene was at it's highlights
