Mapex VX Standard Kit...

hi evrybody.
im kinda new to the forum. just wanted to share my set-up with u guys. ive been playing for about 5 years now. i play all kinds of stuff. progressive, rock, funk, alternative and blues are some favourites. will be upgrading my cymbal line in a couple of months...but for now this is all i got.

My Set-Up : Mapex VX Standard, Wax Cherry Red Colour

extremely surprised to see no one bothered to leave a comment or something. this place was an amalgamation of thoughts and ideas. but now its just a plzace to show off i guess!!

Nice kit dude, I own one myself, it may not be the most top of the range kit, but it does it's job with mesh heads slapped on, nice choice of cymbals too.

You have a nice kit with a good selection of cymbals and it's well maintained, but it really doesn't have anything unique about it. Nothing wrong with that, but that's what gets people to comment. See the thread about the stave kit - 110 posts and it hasn't even been assembled yet! Some of that is because the owner is well-known and the stave builder visits here, but most of it is because this is a very one-of-a-kind set.

as far as cymbals go.. dont let anyone put you down for having zxts.. for what theyre worth theyre not bad.. i recorded on them. and personally i like the rock ride

Hey... I've completely fallen in love with the meinl sound and i was thinking of going in for a complete new line of meinl cymbals. As of now i only own a meinl classics 14" medium crash which is not top of the range but even then im completely infatuated by the sound it produces. I want some suggestions for what meinl cymbals would prove to be a good buy...considering that my experience with meinl doesnt go too far, im asking for suggestions...you can tell me some other brands too.. now im thinking of investing in top of the range cymbals and i really like the meinls. so pour in!!! im also going to trade/sell my cymbals for a complete new line.
