Hi guys!

Here's another studio work in progress. It's a somewhat jazzy tune. On this I went for a fatback groove and tom sound ala Phil Collins. Don't know if I succeeded :D

All is played by me except the bass. Eventually we'll have real brass and guitar on as well.

What do you think?

I like your playing a lot man, nice and solid groove on all the recordings. Also some great chops and you use them in a musical way which is great. I also like the tune, but I think it needs vocals - it sounds like an instrumental track of a regular song that has vocals on it.

Other than that I'd say that the drumsound needs some equalizing and processing, but the drums themselves sound fantastic! Did you use resonant heads? Because afaik Phil Collins doesn't which is how he gets that strange tomsound he is famous for.

Great job!

great sounding track, although i would have to agree that it sounds like its missing vocals, but very grooving none the less.
Great job
