ok, so is there any tips anyone has on touring?
its really gonna be a baby tour (4 nights, 4 states, 4 shows), but its my first time touring, so i just wanna make sure i have everything down.
im defiantly bringing an extra snare, i have all the little hardware backups (snare cables, snare wires, keys, ...) taken care of,

im kinda bummed since ill be playing reso bass headless since we need to put my floor tom in there to save room, but its not too big of a deal.

any suggestions?
thanks a bunch

No suggestions, just one question...

Why are you doing 4 shows in 4 different states? Why not do 4 shows in one state and (I assume) save distance/petrol/time...

Also. How far away is the first show from your start-off point? Many bands make the mistake of travelling a full day or two until their first show when they could schedule in an extra show on the trip out, make more money, and make the tour more viable.

their all relatively short drives

the tours gonna be a local show first night, chicago il
then columbus ohio, bloomington indiana, and kalamazoo michigan.

we have friends in all these places, and their just "hot spots" i quess we really wanna hit up. were really not looking to make money, were looking for just enough for gas for the trip home.
our merch table consists of blank tshirts weve stolen from walmart with our shirt design screenprinted on in my basment, and cds where the covers are made out of old posters and recycled paper.

woo!

I would think it may be hard to play the floor tom if its going to be inside of your bass drum.

Come on...someone had to say it...you were all thinking it.

Couldn't you put the head on once you got where you were going??

Hahaha i was gonna say it!

Y dont you just get one the speed keys and when your packing up take off your base reso and put it on before the gigs. Itll only take like 5 minutes or so to put on and 30 seconds to take off

Bring earplugs so you can sleep when you get the chance. I always hated being in weird noisy strangers houses trying to sleep. Earplugs help. I can fall alseep anywhere now.
