I have a six-piece Mapex M Birch set. I've only been playing it for about a year, but the heads that came with it are slowly going. I want heads for the toms, snare, and bass that would be good for Thrash/Metal/Death Metal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Evans Hydraulics, though I wouldn't reccomend them because they will only work for metal. You could just do the traditional coated Ambassadors over clear Ambassadors.

ii've got remo smooth white emperors on my toms, remo ambassador coated on my snare, remo ambassador hazy on the snare side, evans eq3 clear bass drum batter, remo ebony powerstroke 3 reso on the bass drum (which is ported for air escape) and just the reso heads that came with the drums on the toms which are probably emperors or ambassadors anyway. and absolutely no stuff in the bass drum and no stuff taped or gelled onto the toms or snare. the drums sing.
